At LevelShift, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) are more than just buzzwords; they are a core tenet of our operations woven into the fabric of our culture. These principles shape how we build our teams and strive to make a meaningful difference in our workplace and the communities we serve.
“Our mission to uphold equality is deeply rooted in the culture of LevelShift. It’s not just about programs—it’s about creating a workplace where every individual feels valued, respected, and empowered to thrive. That’s also why we have been certified as A Great Place to Work four years in a row” said Prasad Reddy, Head of Human Resources.
Our leadership has consistently emphasized that our commitment to DEI is not only good for business but also a moral imperative. Equality and equity guide us as we create opportunities and build systems that enable every individual to succeed.
The following are key initiatives we have undertaken in 2024, spotlighting the tangible ways we have put our values into practice. Our journey has been defined by learning, growth, and the conviction that we can and must lead by example in the technology industry.
2024 Highlights: DEI in Action
The past year has been filled with events and programs to foster an equitable and inclusive environment. Here are some of the highlights:
· Financial Empowerment Workshop (January): Educating employees on financial schemes, tax savings, and smart investment strategies.
· Ramp Walk Red-Carpet Event (March): Celebrating confidence and individuality through a fun and empowering activity.
· Yoga for Wellness (June): Encouraging mental and physical well-being through group yoga sessions tailored for women employees.
· POSH Awareness Session (September): Reinforcing workplace safety through training on the Prevention of Sexual Harassment policies.
· Discover Your True Self Survey (December): A collaborative initiative to help employees explore and leverage their personal strengths.
While all these initiatives reflect our ongoing commitment to DEI, a few stand out for their long-term impact and alignment with our organizational values.
Spotlight Initiatives: Leading with Purpose
1. Savings and Investment Workshop
In March, we organized a workshop on saving strategies and investment opportunities tailored for women employees. Led by financial experts, this session equips participants with practical tools to take control of their financial futures.
One attendee shared, “This workshop provided useful insights into managing my finances. I feel more equipped to plan my future finances with greater confidence.”
Through this initiative, we reaffirmed our belief that financial literacy is a critical step toward empowerment and equality in the workplace.
2. Inspirational Journeys: Women Leaders at LevelShift
In April, we launched a platform where women leaders across our organization shared their stories of growth, challenges, and success. These candid and inspiring discussions highlighted women’s unique contributions to our company’s progress.
The session was a celebration and a call to action for all employees to mentor, support, and uplift each other. We build a culture of equity and opportunity beyond a single event by fostering such connections.
3. Women’s Communication Channel: WhatsApp and Dedicated Mailing Lists
Recognizing the importance of communication in building community, we established an exclusive WhatsApp group and mailing list for our women employees. These platforms have become spaces for collaboration, information sharing, and mutual support.
A participant noted, “The channel has made connecting with colleagues, sharing resources, and celebrating each other’s achievements much easier. It’s become an invaluable tool for collaboration and support.”
By leveraging technology, we have created a sustainable channel for fostering inclusion and empowerment.
A Commitment to Lead
“DEI isn’t a one-time effort; it’s a continuous journey at LevelShift. Through these initiatives, we aim to bridge gaps, celebrate diversity, and build a future of inclusivity for all,” said Selva Pandian, VP, Head – Cloud Practice.
As we close the chapter on 2024, we are proud of our progress—but we know the journey is far from over. DEI is not a one-time effort but an ongoing commitment that requires adaptability and innovation. LevelShift, remains steadfast in our pledge to build a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace.
Looking ahead to 2025, we are excited to further our mission, continuing to champion initiatives that empower individuals and create a lasting impact on our organization, community, and beyond.
Let us build a future where equality thrives—together
